When One Size Doesn’t Fit All: Avoiding the Unintended Consequences of Healthcare Pay for Performance
Carefully crafting performance measure specifications and setting realistic goals for improvement can help healthcare organizations avoid some unintended consequences of pay for performance (PFP) initiatives – many of which can put patients at risk.
