Participation Now Open for 2014 Survey on Reducing Avoidable ER Visits

avoidable ER visits
Healthcare organizations are invited to complete HIN's third comprehensive survey on Reducing Avoidable ER Visits.

July 22, 2014

SEA GIRT, NJ, USA — Healthcare organizations are invited to submit their most successful approaches to Reducing Avoidable Emergency Room Visits by completing a survey sponsored by the Healthcare Intelligence Network. Participation will be open through August 25, 2014.

Respondents receive an executive summary of results from the survey, which is designed to collect metrics on technology-, patient- and staff-centered solutions for reducing avoidable emergency department use.

"Given the industry's increased emphasis on the patient experience, healthcare companies want to ensure emergency room resources are allocated appropriately and efficiently," notes Melanie Matthews, HIN executive vice president and chief operating officer. "This third comprehensive survey will illuminate strategies to foster appropriate ER utilization and follow-up care of the populations they serve, with a mix of data analytics and staffing solutions."

One respondent who completes the survey will be chosen to receive a PDF download of HIN's 2014 25-page special report, "Care Compacts in the Medical Neighborhood: Transforming PCP-Specialist Care Coordination," an $87 value.

HIN's Reducing Avoidable Emergency Room Visits Survey will assemble a comprehensive set of best practices and benchmarks in the curbing of avoidable ED use, as well as reported workflows, technologies, challenges, and ROI and the impact of the emerging telehealth market on ER use.
