FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Disease Management & Obesity

Wall Township, N.J., March 31, 2004 - With obesity rates in the U.S. continuing to climb and causing additional chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, coronary artery disease, stroke, health plans and employers are turning to disease management programs to manage obesity.

During Disease Management & Obesity, an April 28th audio conference sponsored by the Healthcare Intelligence Network, healthcare organizations can learn about the key features of obesity management programs, how to get members to participate and what sort of impact these programs can have on healthcare's bottom line. To learn more, please visit the HIN bookstore.

An expert panel of speakers has been assembled to address what health plans, disease management companies and employers need to know about the impact that reducing obesity can have on healthcare costs.

Robin F. Foust, Population/Individual Health and Productivity Management Specialist, Zoe Consulting; and Dr. Eric Berman, Medical Director & Chairman of Health Policy, Horizon BCBS of NJ, will provide specific details on key features of an obesity/weight management program; recruiting and retaining members/employees in your program, lessons learned; and results to date.

The audio-conference will serve the information needs of CEOs, medical directors, disease management directors, managers and coordinators, health plan executives, care management nurses, business development and strategic planning directors.

The audio-conference will include a live question-and-answer period, which allows participants to pick the brains of the presenters to ensure that all questions are answered. For more information on the conference, please email info@hin.com call toll-free (888) 446-3530 or visit the HIN bookstore.
