Healthcare Trends and Forecasts 2007 Audio Conference: Strategic Planning Tool for an Evolving Industry
Manasquan, N.J., USA, August 29, 2006 –
Consumer-driven health plans, workplace wellness, a rising demand for provider quality data, Medicare Part D implementation and the threat of an influenza pandemic were just some of the issues demanding the attention of the healthcare industry in 2006. Which of these topics will continue to consume the healthcare executive, and what new challenges await the industry in 2007? Healthcare Trends and Forecasts 2007, a September 27, 2006 audio conference sponsored by the Healthcare Intelligence Network (HIN), will examine current and emerging trends that will impact the healthcare industry in 2007.
During this 60-minute audio conference, Peter Kongstvedt, M.D., F.A.C.P, a partner in the health and managed care consulting services division of Accenture, will discuss forces of change, performance expectations and challenges for the upcoming year. The audio conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern time on September 27, 2006. For more details on attending the audio conference, please visit the HIN site.
"While no one has a crystal ball, our clients have found it extremely helpful to explore industry trends and implications at this time of year," said Melanie Matthews, the executive vice president and chief operating officer of HIN, which is sponsoring the "Healthcare Trends" conference for the third consecutive year. Matthews, who views the audio conference as a "state-of-the-healthcare-industry address," said previous attendees found the audio conference a helpful planning tool that provided background and perspective.
During this 60-minute audio conference, Dr. Kongstvedt will draw on his 12 years consulting experience and almost 20 years of experience at the senior-most levels of health plans to provide inside information on healthcare trends likely to impact the industry in 2007. He will lend detailed insight into:
- What's driving changes in the healthcare industry;
- What new trends will emerge in 2007;
- How healthcare organizations can best position for 2007;
- Performance expectations for the healthcare industry in 2007;
- Problems affecting the healthcare business climate; and
- How 2007 will compare to 2006.
This audio conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern time on September 27, 2006. The one-hour conference includes a live question-and-answer period during which participants can tap into the speaker's wealth of expertise. A recorded version on CD-ROM and printed transcript of this audio conference will be available in mid-October, and an "On-Demand" audio conference re-broadcast can be accessed beginning September 29, 2006. To register and obtain additional details on the audio conference, please visit the HIN site.
