1.) IASIS Healthcare Selects McKesson PACS to Help Enhance Physician Relations and Patient Care

IASIS Healthcare® LLC plans to help improve patient care and physician satisfaction with the deployment of a new picture archiving and communications system (PACS) from McKesson. IASIS expects to experience significant workflow advantages by making the move to Horizon Medical Imaging™ PACS, which gives time-crunched physicians easy access to medical images as part of the EHR. As a result, hospital clinicians will be able to spend less time locating information and more time on clinical activities and patient care.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital has introduced a new electronic PHR, enabling its patients to access their medical information wherever and whenever they need it. Hospital leaders believe the innovative system — including its use of readily available software and platforms — is the first of its kind to be launched at a major medical institution and the only such system that provides security, privacy and portability to patients from all walks of life.
