Top 5 Uses for HRA Data This Week's Challenge: Identifying health risks is one of the top ways healthcare organizations use health risk assessment (HRA) data, according to HIN's industry survey on HRAs. We wanted to see the other ways healthcare organizations are using their HRA data.

What We Learned: HIN's Health Risk Assessment e-survey documented how more than 120 healthcare organizations are using HRAs, including areas covered by the HRA, data inputs and outputs from the HRA, HRA eligibility and much more. According to survey respondents, the top five uses for HRA data are:

  • Identifying health risks: 88.4 percent

  • Developing programs for the high-risk: 69.6 percent

  • Stratify for disease management/case management: 68.1 percent

  • At-risk follow-up: 66.7 percent

  • Track analysis: 63.8 percent
