Starting in January, CMS is asking for even more reporting. With the advent of the new year, physicians can voluntarily self-report adherence to certain evidence-based quality measures to CMS. Under the first phase of the program, physicians will be able to submit data on 36 quality measures for Medicare beneficiaries. Physicians will not receive higher compensation for reporting the measures, and results will not be made public, but physicians will receive feedback from CMS about the level of their performance based on submitted data. CMS will also seek input from participating physicians on ways to improve the ease of reporting and usefulness of the quality measures.
During this 90-minute audio conference, your expert panel of speakers, James Fisher, director, PriceWaterHouseCoopers and Robert Fortini, clinical operations manager, Community Care Physicians, will provide inside details on how this voluntary program will impact physician organizations in 2006.
You will get details on:
- Evaluating whether your practice should participate in CMS' voluntary program;
- Examining the opportunities that exist for physician practices under the voluntary PFP program;
- Preparing for participation in the program;
- Putting data collection efforts into place now; and
