The nation’s health insurance industry has proposed extending health insurance coverage to all Americans through a combination of expanding government programs, tax credits and other government subsidies.

American’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the industry trade group, released the proposals perhaps signaling its willingness to work with Congress to solve the nation’s healthcare ills, particularly the uninsured in the country.
