White Paper Abstract: Affiliated with Trinity Health System, Mount Carmel St. Ann's is a strong community hospital with general medical and surgical care, an innovative maternity program, state of-the-art cancer center and outstanding emergency services. In 2000, St. Ann's initiated a major construction project to expand the Emergency Department, intensive care unit, maternity services and outpatient diagnostics. With more than 65,000 annual ED patient visits, the hospital has been live on HEALTHMATICS ED Emergency Department Information System since July 2001. Additional sites, Mount Carmel East (78,000 annual ED visits) and Mount Carmel West (53,000 annual ED visits) plan to implement HEALTHMATICS ED as well.
