Risk-y Business: HRAs Take Temperature of Population Health

Far from a risky healthcare strategy, health risk assessments (HRAs) are the foundation of a sound population health management program. Aggregate data from HRAs is the raw material for the development of health improvement and prevention programs.

A HIN survey conducted this year showed that 70 percent of healthcare organizations use HRAs to measure health risk factors, and 52 percent plan to launch an HRA in the coming year.
