Health Coaching's Call to Manage Weight, Chronic Disease

Health coaching is a critical tool in population health management, helping to boost self-management of disease and reduce risk and associated cost across the health continuum. And despite the array of technologies available in healthcare today, the majority of health coaching is still conducted telephonically.

As highlighted in this new infographic from the Healthcare Intelligence Network, the telephone remains the chief modality for health coaching delivery; face-to-face coaching the second most preferred method, despite a drop in in-person coaching from 70 percent in 2010 to 59 percent in 2013.
